Prof. M.V. BasaveswaraRao, Professor, Department of Chemistry, appointed as Director, Directorate of Admissions and Dr. P. Veerabrahmachari, Asst. Professor, Department of Biotechnology appointed as Assistant Director. The Director directly reports to the Vice-Chancellor for the directorate functions.

Directorate of Admissions started in the academic year 2012 to stream line the PG Admissions of eligible students in the Post graduate courses offered at Krishna University Campus, Dr.MRAR Krishna University PG Centre, Nuzvid and the affiliated colleges of Krishna University.

The Directorate of Admissions is meant for admitting the eligible candidates into M.A, M.Sc., M.Com., M.Ed., courses through KRUCET-2012. Already advertisement for admissions was released on 9th March 2012 to invite applications from the eligible candidates for this purpose. The directorate made arrangement for printing of applications, Admission Information Brochure and made available to the desirous candidates at various centres.The students can obtain applications from the Director, Directorate of Admissions, various application sale centres, and through post. Application can also down loaded from the Krishna University web site. Candidates are advised to read the Admission Information Brochure before filling up the application forms and also data sheet.

Admission into P.G. Courses will be made on the basis of the rank obtained in the KRUCET-2012 conducted by the Directorate for M.A, M.Sc., M.Com., M.Ed., courses .The Directorate made arrangement to scrutinize the applications for PG Admissions, send hall tickets to the eligible students for appearing KRUCET-2012. The tests will be conducted in several places basing on the number of applications. The answer scripts will be valued at the earliest and the results will be announced. The rank cards and schedule of counselling for admission will be intimated to the candidates individually by post. The admission process will be totally computerized and the candidate can exercise the option for the admission into the college of his/her choice. The admission allotment letters will be issued to the candidates after collecting prescribed fee and they are requested to report the college opted.

The Directorate will allow the candidate to exercise the option of sliding from one college to the other college. The admissions process is totally transparent and the vacancy position of the seats will be displayed prominently in the counselling centre.The rules of reservation for SC, ST, BC and others will be followed strictly as per the existing norms of the Government. The reservation in respect of NCC, Sports, Physically Handicapped, Children of Armed forces personals will also be followed as per the percentage prescribed by the State Government from time to time. The eligible candidates for fee concession will be allowed to enjoy of fee as per the norms of prescribed by the State Government.

The Directorate of Admissions takes care of collection of tuition fee and other fees of behalf of all admitting institutions and maintains accounts and release the respective amounts to the concern colleges after the closure of the admissions.
